Nashville drama Tough Trade adds Joey Lauren Adams and others to cast

According to the Hollywood Reporter the one hour “Nashville-based drama” Tough Trade is getting new cast members for the Lionsgate TV project. Joey Lauren Adams, Boyd Holbrook and Claire van der Boom will appear along side Sam Shepard, Cary Elwes and Lucas Black as three separate generations of the Nashville music dynasty. The show also features Country music star Trace Adkins who is from Nashville, playing Shepard’s bodyguard.
Adams will play Shawnelle, the strong and blunt fifth Mrs. Linwood Tucker who is determined never to be the newest ex-wife.
Adams, repped by Paradigm and Caliber Media, recently directed her first music video, for the band Dashboard Confessional, and will be seen on the new season of Showtime’s “United States of Tara.”
